Here are the key updates for the 2026 WON Bass season
regarding our continued partnership with Bassmaster and B.A.S.S. Nation.
2026 WON Bass Schedule Highlights
- Four Regional Events: The full schedule includes the Winter Open, Shasta Open, Clear Lake Open, and Havasu Open.
- U.S. Open: This flagship event is also part of the overall qualification structure.
Major Changes to 2027 B.A.S.S. Nation (BN) Championship Qualification:
Bassmaster has introduced a unified change for the 2026 season: the 2027 BN Championship field size has been reduced across the board from 250 boats to 142 Pro and Co (AAA) anglers.
This change affects how WON Bass qualifies anglers for the Championship:
Direct Berths to the 2027 BN Championship (6 Guaranteed Spots)
WON Bass will award 6 guaranteed Pro and AAA berths:
- 5 Spots: Awarded to the top 2026 AOY (Angler of the Year) leaders
who fulfill the required qualifications after all five WON Bass events. - 1 Spot: Awarded to the highest-finishing qualified anglers at the
2026 U.S. Open.
New Path via the 2027 BASS Nation Regional Event at Clear Lake:
Bassmaster plans to host a B.A.S.S. Nation Regional tournament in the West (at Clear Lake) in early 2027. This regional event will qualify its top 10 Pros and AAAs for the 2027 BN Championship.
WON Bass has been given the ability to award 20 guaranteed entry spots into this 2027 BN Regional event:
- The Top 5 Pros and AAAs from each of our four 2026 regional events (Winter Open, Shasta Open, Clear Lake Open, Havasu Open) will earn a guaranteed entry spot into that regional tournament for a chance to advance to the Championship and potentially the Bassmaster Classic.

$8,000 Cash Payout
First place winners of any WON BASS tournament, qualify to win $8,000 when fishing from eligible 2022-2025 boat models with 200HP motors or larger.
$500 Cash Payout
Anglers placing in the top ten of any WON BASS tournament, qualify to win $500 when fishing from eligible 2022-2025 boat models with 60HP or larger. If a first place winner does not meet program requirements, then the highest finishing Ranger Cup qualified angler becomes eligible for a $500 cash payout.
